FORD ECO-TOWN: Surely a case of the pot calling the kettle black

NOT only does the socialist housing minister believe that all those who oppose her views must, by definition, be wealthy, articulate and powerful, and that their views are therefore worthless, but I see from the Littlehampton Gazette (letters, August 28) that ex-Labour councillor Jan Cosgrove now implies that anyone who objects to the Ford Eco-Town proposal must inevitably be a "neo-Nazi".
Indeed, he then goes on the complain about what he sees as "the level of abuse" stemming from those who do not want to see an Eco-Town at Ford.

Perhaps, therefore, it is Mr Cosgrove who needs to consider his own contribution to the apparent abuse
about which he complains, and I wonder why it is that people such as him need to resort to such tactics.

Is it under-confidence, or even, perhaps, just a standard technique straight out of the Fellow Travellers' handbook?

At the very least, it's surely a case of the pot calling the kettle black.

Derek, you are absolutely right to highlight these outrageous lies and insults coming from our glorious Housing Minister and her fellow-travellers.

I think it does show more than a hint of desperation though - it is a classic tactic when you are losing an argument to try and slur your opponents in the most outrageous fashion.

No doubt those against the Eco-con will be accused of causing millions of innocent children to starve next.
