REGARDING the comments made by Caroline Flint concerning the representatives of CAFE.
"Rich and articulate", certainly rich in expertise and I would not want to be represented by someone inarticulate, would you? All I can say is THANK YOU CAFE!

I was one of the 2000 supporters at CAFE's June march and I have to say what struck me w
as the mix of all ages of people and the range of reasons why they are against Ford Eco-Town.

The overwhelming fact that hit me was that people from all backgrounds do not believe that Ford is a suitable location for a large town. Neither do they trust the developers.

They do not believe the developers will deliver on their promises as we've seen happen elsewhere in the district. There is real concern that the minister is being conned and Ford and its surrounding communities will be left with the unworkable lie – Ford Eco-Town.

If CAFE were not doing their "articulate" bit and we were not supporting them in our thousands, the "big asks" Caroline Flint kept on referring to would not be raised or questioned. Guaranteed, a mediocre development would emerge at Ford with a compromise at every corner, including fewer affordable homes, no jobs, no public transport, with the only benefactor being the developer.

So thank you CAFE for informing us of the other side of the development and ensuring that my voice is heard along with all the others who have signed their petition.

Mrs C. A. Cooper
Walberton

INCORRECT - It's most certainly about time Arun District and the surrounding area was put to better use, then just for those who would prefer to keep nice views with the "not on our front door" attitude.

Did you support the campaigns of those suffering and seeking decent secure housing? I suspect not....

More social housing needed within arun district and arun district has loads of wasted land that should be used to fill the must needed housing.
