A YAPTON runner is preparing to take part in the New York Marathon after completing a personal best in this year's London Marathon.
Jade Lovell-Knight (26) who works at Virgin Vie At Home in Tangmere, will hope to finish the gruelling 26.2-mile course along with 37,000 other participants.

The marathon takes runners on a journey through all five boroughs of New York City.

Jade said: "I ran the London Marathon this year for the second time and I managed to take 38 minutes from my time the year before.

"I got home from the long train journey and did two things – entered the London Marathon for the following year and entered the New York Marathon."

Jade is running for children's charity Get Kids Going.
