Man seriously injured in smash

COPS are searching for witnesses after a pedestrian was 'seriously injured' in a crash at the weekend.
A 58-year-old man was in collision with a silver Toyota Avensis car travelling west along Worth Road, Crawley, on Saturday (November 29).

The injured man was taken to New East Surrey Hospital with serious injuries where he remains under sedation with possible broken bones.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to the incident, which took place at about 4.35pm to call (0845) 60 70 999 quoting Operation Yield.

A spokeswoman for South East Coast Ambulance Service said: "Crews were called to Worth Road, Crawley at 4:40pm on November 29 to an RTC between a car and a pedestrian.

"A 58-year-old man was taken to East Surrey Hospital in Redhill."
