Crawley youngsters mugged for mobiles by violent gang

THREE friends were assaulted on Southgate Avenue after asking for directions.
One male victim received cuts and bruises after a group of about 10 black males and one white male set upon him at 10pm on Wednesday August 27.
The other male and female victims were unharmed.
Two mobile phones (a Sendo silver flip phone and a black Samsung touch screen phone) and a black leather Kickers wallet were stolen.
A spokeswoman for Crawley Police said: "Witness are asked to contact PC Claire BRAMELD at Crawley police station on 0845 60 70 999 quoting reference 1051 of 28th August, or TEXT ME on 07788 917141."
