NINETEEN cars have been seriously damaged in a suspected arson attack.
It's thought that the blaze initially affected two cars, which then exploded and ignited surrounding vehicles.
West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service was called to the Gatwick Road open air car park at 2.30am by a passer-by.
Four appliances, along with foam-spreading units attended the fire.
Firefighters left at 5.30am but were returning later to inspect the scene.
The Observer understands that all of the cars belonged to holiday makers.
