Teenagers who went on a wrecking spree among Bognor Regis businesses are being sought by the police.
Officers believe a number of 12/13 year old male youths entered the Bookers Yard business park in Bersted Street.
They broke into three of the units on the site and caused a large amount of damage. Their attempts to steal property from the premises ended in the items being dumped nearby.
Pots of paint which they found were thrown over a mechanical digger.
The youths were seen leaving the site and walking into Bersted Street.
One of them had white paint on his face as he went along the road.
The vandalism and break-ins happened at about 6.30pm on May 7.
PC Stuart Bethan, of Bognor police station, said: "These youths have caused a large amount of malicious damage clearly for their own enjoyment.
"As a result, the costs of repairs have fallen on the victims to rectify.
"I would request that anyone seeing these young boys leaving the area to contact me. Anyone seeing the young lad with white paint on his face should recall him quite well."
Information to PC Bethan on 0845 60 70 999.
