Rogate village is set to lose its primary school in the radical reorganisation of education planned across the Rother Valley.
The closure is the most extreme of the plans announced by West Sussex County Council this week.

Under the proposals seven first schools become 'all-through' primaries, catering for four to 11-year-olds.

They are Midhurst and Stedham, Petworth and Northchapel, and Rake and Hollycombe (Milland).

Although each school will continue to operate on its current site, each pair will have a single headteacher.
