Sidlesham fatal crash victim named

The victim of a fatal crash in Sidlesham has been named as a man from Runcton.
Ben Clarkson, 27, of Goodwood Drive, was in the car which collided with a milk van on November 20 on the Selsey Road, in Sidlesham.

The accident happened at around 4am when the Ford Galaxy saloon containing two men (not three as originally reporte
d) had collided with a milk delivery van.

The two men in the car had to be cut free by West Sussex Fire and Rescue, but the driver, Mr Clarkson, died.

The car passenger and the driver of the milk van were taken to St Richards Hospital in Chichester.

The car passenger, a 21-year old local man, is still detained at St Georges Hospital, Tooting, with serious injuries, and the 26-year old van driver was treated for a hand injury but not detained.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision or have any other information to contact them via 0845 60 70 999 quoting Operation Shepway.
