A NEW cheeky calendar set to get men's hearts racing has been launched to raise money for charity.
Barmaids from the Coal Exchange pub in Emsworth bared all in nearly-nude pictures to raise £10,000 for St Wilfrid's Hospice and Havant Women's Aid.
Eight barmaids posed individually for each month and there were also some group photos.
The group is aiming to better the £5,000 raised raised by a group of male punters at the pub who took part in the 'Emsworth Uncovered' calendar earlier this year for the Rowan's Hospice.
"It was kind of embarrassing because when we all posed at Mill Pond there were builders working on a roof across the road," said the barmaid for June, Amy Meredith.
"People were walking their dogs near us but after we explained to people what we were doing they wished us good luck and told us we were brave to do this.
"The idea of the calendar came up a few months ago. The men did it so I thought, why not us?"
The barmaids' calendar, entitled 'Emsworth: An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauties 2009' costs a minimum donation of £5.
Only 2,000 copies of the calendar have been printed but it is available at the Coal Exchange and other local shops.
The September barmaid, Amy Summers, said: "Some of us were more confident at posing than others. It was quite nerve-wracking getting my kit off.
"But the calendar has turned out the way we wanted it to. I've got my fingers crossed and hope that it raises enough money."
Peter McIntyre, landlord of the Coal Exchange, said: "The girls have worked really hard on this project and they've done a great job. The calendar looks fantastic. I would imagine it's going to be very popular."
