BANK Holiday chaos at Gatwick Airport could ruin long-awaited holidays for thousands of people after baggage-handlers and check-in staff voted to strike.
The airport will be hit by two 24-hour strikes, on August 25 and 29, in a dispute over pay.

The Unite union said its members would walk out on the days, and warned that all baggage-handling and check-in operations at a number of airlines would be halted.

The move comes at the peak of the summer season when flights from Gatwick, the second-largest airport in the country, are at their fullest.

Charter airlines and low-budget carriers will be the worst hit.
