A TEENAGER from Warminghurst has gained his gold Duke of Edinburgh Award.
Henry Webster (19) has just returned from working as a volunteer on a safari park in Namibia during a gap year, and has received his award at St James's Palace in London from the Duke of Edinburgh.
He worked for the award while he was a student at Marlborough College in Wiltshire, completing five sections: volunteering, physical, skills, expedition and a residential section.
Henry finished all sections to a high standard, volunteering at an Oxfam charity shop for his service to the community, gaining a skill at percussion and drums, attending a residential cookery course, and undertaking two practice ventures in Snowdonia and Dartmoor and a final expedition in the Brecon Beacons.
