A £70,000 makeover of public lavatories in Steyning High Street started this week.
The move follows lengthy discussions by the parish council on the future of the loos.

Two unisex stainless-steel lavatories will replace the old ones.
Baby-changing facilities and disabled access, as well as storage space, will also be created, and the original building and bus shelter will be retained in a scheme that has the blessing of The Steyning Society.

It is expected the fully modernised lavatories will reopen in January. They will remain free to use.
