Storrington pedestrian seriously injured in road collision

A 20-year-old Storrington woman suffered serious head injuries after a road traffic collision in Worthing on Tuesday (July 29).

The collision involved a grey Renault Clio driven by a 78-year-old local man which mounted the pavement and collided with the female pedestrian before crashing into a roadside traffic sign.

The pedestrian was taken from the A27 Westbound in Upper Brighton Road to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton after 3pm.

The driver was unhurt.
