Jack Doherty, Bexhill's town Fairtrade coordinator, kicked off the proceedings with a special assembly. This was followed over the next two weeks with two 'Big Brew' events, which saw families and friends enjoying a cup of tea or coffee and a biscuit using only Fairtrade produce. A range of Fairtrade produce was also on sale, including pasta, chocolate, cereals and jam. The school concluded the fortnight with a Fairtrade breakfast with over one hundred children enjoying sampling a range of Fairtrade food including bananas and oranges washed down with Fairtrade hot chocolate.
